Written Questions. - Defence Forces Recruitment.
In 1994 there was an intake of 500 recruits including 80 for the Naval Service. The press advertisements advised those who had previously applied, i.e. those on waiting lists, to re-apply if they still wished to be considered for enlistment. There was a further intake of 50 recruits for the Naval Service this year. These personnel were selected from among a panel of suitable candidates drawn up following the 1994 competition. Further recruitment will be advertised in the national press. Persons wishing to enlist should apply at that time.
