Vol. 460 No. 6

Written Answers. - Clongeen (Wexford) National School.

Hugh Byrne

Ceist:

173 Mr. H. Byrne asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the condition of windows and doors at Clonfern national school, County Wexford; if her attention has been further drawn to the fact that pupils must wear their overcoats in classroom to retain heat; when will she sanction the necessary works; when she will indicate such sanction to the board of management for such works; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [1767/96]

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that a grant was sanctioned by my Department in November 1995, for the replacement of windows and doors at this school. The Office of Public Works are supervising this project which is now in progress.
