256 Mr. S. Brennan asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications his views on possible property and amenity devaluation consequences of the erection of telecommunications masts; and if he will make a statement regarding the proposal for a mast on CIE property at Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary. I have no statutory responsibility in relation to any effect on the value of property or amenities consequential on the erection of telecommunications masts or in relation to any particular proposal for a specific mast. This would be a matter for the appropriate local authority planning office. I am not aware of the proposals for a mast on CIE property at Carrick-on-Suir referred to by the Deputy. In so far as CIE is concerned, that would be an internal day to day matter.
