127 Ms O'Donnell asked the Minister for Health whether any person may make a complaint to the Medical Council regarding a medical practitioner in relation to their fitness to practise; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1762/96]
Limerick East): Section 45 of the Medical Practitioners Act, 1978 provides, inter alia, that any person may seek from the Fitness to Practise Committee of the Medical Council the holding of an inquiry into the conduct of a registered medical practitioner on the grounds of alleged professional misconduct by that practitioner.
