I regret that I am not in a position to supply the information in the format requested by the Deputy. In regard to grant allocations under the sports capital programme all records are kept on a county basis without sub-division within counties. I am arranging to have a list of the capital grant allocations for Dublin city and county for the years 1988 to 1995 sent to the Deputy immediately. Records for capital grant allocations in 1987 are not readily available.
In regard to the youth sector specifically, it would not be possible to produce meaningful statistics on the basis required given the nature of the funding arrangements which apply. A large proportion of youth funding is allocated to the national bodies of the various voluntary youth organisations. Local units of these organisations benefit in a variety of ways including grant aid but it would not be possible to quantify this in a detailed way. Funding is also made available to disadvantaged projects. If the Deputy requires information on any specific project, I will make every effort to furnish it as quickly as possible.
