Ceist:103 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for the Environment whether he intends to reconcile the Waste Management Bill incineration option with the Dumping at Sea Bill which prohibits maritime incineration. [3370/96]

Section 3 of the Waste Management Bill, 1995 provides that the Bill shall not apply to dumping of waste at sea; this includes marine incineration of waste. There is consequently no inconsistency between the Waste Management Bill, 1995 and the Dumping at Sea Bill, 1995
