My Department does not compile projections of EU commitments in respect of EAGGF Guarantee funding. The figures which I have given the Deputy are in respect of those programmes which are primarily concerned with assisting farming and social and educational schemes. The Cohesion Fund is project based and is confined to projects in the transport and environmental sectors. The current round of Structural Funds lasts until 1999 and any commitment of funds beyond 1999 would be a matter for decision in the context of the negotiations of the next round of Structural Funds.
