Ceist:88 Mrs. Geoghegan-Quinn asked the Minister for Finance in relation to a proposal from a group (details supplied) in County Galway, when this building will become available; whether this group will have to bid on the open market for the building or will the transfer be made directly to the community without competition; whether the Office of Public Works will hand the building over in good repair; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The correspondence in question was replied to on 27 Februry 1996. I have since received further correspondence from Coiste Forbartha An Mhama, as a result of which I will presently meet them to discuss the details of their proposal, following which the position in relation to the manner of disposal of the property will be considered.
