138 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform if he will consider making a free phone service available to the general public who require to make contact with his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6961/96]

Having regard to the particular nature of the Department's activity the provision of such a service is not considered necessary.
