Ceist:139 Mr. Lawlor asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the Minister that is responsible for the inclusion of the micro circuit, known as the V chip, in new television sets in view of recent replies to Parliamentary Questions by Ministers; if his attention has been drawn to a decision at EU level to compel manufacturers to include this technology in all new sets; his views on whether extensive consultations should take place in the country with various bodies including parents' councils, as per Deputy Lawlor's earlier suggestion; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
