Vol. 463 No. 6

Written Answers. - Port Facilities.

Peter Barry

Ceist:

284 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for the Marine if he has satisfied himself that Ireland's port facilities are capable of accommodating the traffic with the advent of superferries; if special facilities will be needed in Cork, Rosslare and Dublin to cater for the movements of these much bigger vessels; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6931/96]

Adequate facilities are in place in the ports of Dublin, Cork and Rosslare to cater for ferries using these ports at present.

Any additional facilities required for vessels in the future would of course be provided by the appropriate authorities.
