77 Mr. M. McDowell asked the Minister for the Environment the cost of origination, design, printing and publication of the DOE News, Vol. 2, No. 1; the number of copies of the paper that were produced; the groups that are on the mailing list; the number of times it has been published; the number of times it is intended to publish the paper; and if he will make a statement on the matter. This issue of DOE News, the content of which was prepared in my Department, was designed at a cost of £2,741 and printed by the Government Supplies Agency at a cost of £3,550 for a total print run of 6,500 copies.

The newsletter is distributed widely; to each Member of the Oireachtas; each local councillor; political parties; national and local media; staff of my own Department and of bodies under the aegis of the Department, including local authority staff; senior staff in other Departments. State and semi-State bodies; financial institutions; libraries; tidy towns' committees; relevant non-government organisations/interest groups; and individuals who have sought copies.

The newsletter is published three times a year. To date, four issues have been published.
