Vol. 464 No. 1

Written Answers. - Illegal Parking.

Tony Gregory

Ceist:

90 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice the reason the Garda have not taken action against the large trucks that daily illegally park on double yellow lines on Beresford Street, Dublin 7; and if appropriate action will now be taken to bring to an end the practice of illegal parking on this narrow residential inner city street which is only a short distance from the Bridewell Garda Station, Dublin 7. [7730/96]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the parking problems referred to by the Deputy have been caused by the reconstruction of a section of the road in question and that the Garda is endeavouring to ensure that people living in the area are inconvenienced as little as possible. I am further assured that there should be no further cause for complaint once the road works are completed.
