Vol. 464 No. 8

Written Answers. - Child with Learning Difficulties.

Róisín Shortall

Ceist:

52 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the learning difficulties of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 9; and the plans, if any, she has for appropriate school placement in respect of this child. [8966/96]

The difficulties being experienced by the child in question were recently brought to the attention of my Department.

My Department's primary inspectorate has requested copies of the relevant assessment reports relating to the child. Once these have been received, arrangements will be made for a suitable educational placement for the child.
