75 Mr. Cowen asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry in respect of total payments to farmers from all sources under the CAP, the number of farmers in receipt of £1,000 or less, £1,000 to £2,000, £2,000 to £3,000, £3,000 to £4,000, £4,000 to £5,000, £5,000 to £10,000, £10,000 to £15,000, £15,000 to £20,000, £20,000 to £25,000, £25,000 to £30,000, £30,000 to £35,000, £35,000 to £40,000, £40,000 to £45,000, £45,000 to £50,000, £50,000 to £55,000, £55,000 to £60,000, £60,000 to £65,000, £65,000 to £70,000, £70,000 to £75,000, £75,000 to £80,000, £80,000 to £85,000, £85,000 to £90,000, £90,000 to £95,000, £95,000 to £100,000, and more than £100,000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The following table sets out payments in the categories specified in respect of headage (in disadvantaged areas), premia (cattle and sheep) and arable aid; the payments relate to applications made in 1994, some of which would have been paid in 1995. These payments account for the great bulk of CAP payments to farmers. Payments in respect of other schemes are not readily classifiable according to size or, where such classification is possible, cannot be related to the payments made in respect of headage, premia and arable aid.
