Vol. 465 No. 7

Written Answers. - Health Strategy.

Mary Wallace

Ceist:

56 Miss M. Wallace asked the Minister for Health the training, if any, available to employees of voluntary organisations working in line with the partnership approach as outlined in the health strategy. [10577/96]

Limerick East): Under the health strategy, it is envisaged that a statutory framework and service agreements will be developed between health authorities and voluntary agencies, and in particular that funding by the authorities will be linked to agreed levels of service to be provided by the larger agencies. The question of appropriate training of employees of voluntary organisations will be addressed as appropriate in this context and in the wider context of improved training and other aspects of human resource policies in the health services generally.
