Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Mary Wallace — the failure of the Department of Health to publish the report of the Review Group on Services for Persons with Physical and Sensory Disabilities; (2) An Teachta Eamon O Cuív — an gá atá ann go gcuirfear áiseanna breise ar fáil ag Scoil Chuimsitheach Chairáin ar an gCeathrú Rua, Contae na Gaillimhe, agus freisin go ndéanfar an scoil a athchóiriú go hiomlán, lena chur in oiriúint don líon scol áirí atá ag freastal ar an scoil seo anois; (3) Deputy Broughan — the need to re-examine the provision of resources for orthodontic dental care on the north side of Dublin; (4) Deputy Eric Byrne — the need to ensure that sentencing policy is consistent in view of a recent case in which an individual convicted of stealing goods with a total value of £31 was sentenced to five years in prison; (5) Deputy Kathleen Lynch — the effects on the work of FÁS community employment schemes of recent changes in the eligibility criteria for such schemes with particular reference to the many arts-based schemes currently in operation and the effects on the employment prospects of those working in the arts; (6) Deputy Nealon — the need to protect the rights of fishermen on Lough Arrow, County Sligo, in view of the difficulties being created as a result of the closure of a traditional access point for boats at Ballyrush Bridge; (7) Deputy Ring — the need to have a person (details supplied) transferred from a hospital in Cork to Áras Attracta, Swinford, County Mayo; (8) Deputy Quill — the need for a central register for charity collectors, particularly in view of a recent case (details supplied) in which money collected has not been accounted for; (9) Deputy Hughes — the reason for substantial delays in carrying out elective orthopaedic operations in Merlin Park Hospital, Galway, and the action the Minister for Health proposes to take to resolve an ongoing dispute between the management of the Western Health Board and anaesthetists; (10) Deputies Keaveney and Joe Walsh — the hardship being caused by the cutbacks in the student summer job scheme; (11) Deputy Tom Kitt — if the Minister for Entreprise and Employment will intervene in the industrial dispute at Aer Lingus which has resulted in its entire workforce of 4,000 being put on protective notice from Friday next, 31 May 1996; (12) Deputy Ellis — the delay in the sanction of repairs to Killenummery national school, County Leitrim; (13) Deputy Seán Ryan — the safety of plastic tanks for the storage of heating oil and the regulations, if any, for the installation of such tanks; (14) Deputy Ned O'Keeffe — increasing the amount of information sought in the five-yearly Census of Population in order to make more use of the census; (15) Deputy Leonard — the urgent need to provide grant aid for a generating plant in County Monaghan for poultry litter and agricultural composts; and (16) Deputy McDaid — the situation regarding four dangerous derelict sites in the village of Manorcunningham, County Donegal.

The matters raised by Deputies Ring, Keaveney and Joe Walsh, Tom Kitt and Leonard have been selected for discussion.
