180 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Minister for Education whether existing classrooms and new classrooms at all primary, second and third-level institutions are accessible to the disabled; and if not the action, if any, she proposes to take to provide access to education for the physically handicapped. It is the policy of my Department to ensure that all new accommodation includes access and other facilities for the disabled. While some older buildings may not have such facilities, my Department will continue to give priority to the provision of funding for alteration works where it is notified of a need by the schools and colleges concerned.
