Ceist:218 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice when a sergeant will be replaced in Louisburgh, County Mayo; the number of gardaí that are stationed in Louisburgh; and the number that are resident in the area. [11474/96]
Written Answers. - Garda Deployment.
The Garda authorities are responsible for the detailed allocation of garda personnel and resources to individual areas. They have informed me that following the allocation of a sergeant to Louisburgh Garda Station on 28 May 1996, the present strength of the station is one sergeant and two gardaí. I understand that the sergeant and one of the gardaí reside in the Louisburgh area.
