Vol. 466 No. 4

Written Answers. - County Mayo Commonage.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

276 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the name and address of a person in County Mayo who is objecting to a commonage (details supplied) being lock spitted. [11680/96]

An individual shareholder of the named commonage who uses the commonage in the course of his normal farming activities has indicated on repeated occasions to officials of my Department that he is opposed to the partition of this commonage.

As this is private land and the individual involved is the registered owner of his share in the commonage, the public naming of this person on the public record could be considered an invasion of privacy.
