145 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for the Environment when he will issue instructions to local authorities to facilitate the erection of signs without planning permission in respect of community groups who are involved in community alert and neighbourhood watch schemes. [13485/96]
Circular letter T.C. 1/96 which issued on 29 March 1996 requested local authorities to adopt a positive and uniform approach in relation to the provision of community alert-neighbour-hood watch signs and, in practice, to agree to all reasonable requests from local groups for the erection of such signs.
