Before coming to the Order of Business I propose to deal with a notice of motion under Standing Order 30 from Deputy Martin. I call on the Deputy to state the matter of which he has given notice.
Request to Move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 30.
Under Standing Order 30 I seek an emergency Dáil debate to discuss the circumstances surrounding the refusal of the Minister for Education to publish the Price Waterhouse inquiry report in its entirety, to discuss its contents and ensure the distribution of copies of the report to all concerned with this subject matter and the general public, thereby helping to avoid industrial action which could threaten the marking and processing of the 1996 leaving certificate examination papers.
This matter having been fully considered is not deemed to be one contemplated by the relevant Standing Order. Therefore, leave cannot be granted to move the motion.
