Vol. 467 No. 4

Written Answers. - New Ross (Wexford) College.

Hugh Byrne

Ceist:

184 Mr. H. Byrne asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the loss of heat and the danger in wet weather in the surrounds of the open courtyard at New Ross vocational college, County Wexford; her views on whether the courtyard should be covered; if so, when such work will commence; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [13391/96]

I am aware of the application from County Wexford Vocational Education Committee to cover the central courtyard at New Ross vocational school. A number of issues which have been raised by officials from the building unit of my Department in relation to this project are currently being addressed by County Wexford Vocational Education Committee. The commencement of the project is dependent on the successful completion of architectural planning and available resources. It is not possible at this stage to indicate when work may commence on the project.
