Ceist:204 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for Education whether there will be a teacher reduction in any primary schools in County Louth from September 1996; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [13625/96]
Written Answers. - National School Staffing.
The Deputy will be aware that the staffing of a national school for a particular year is determined by the enrolment at the school on 30 September of the previous year. On this basis, I can confirm to the Deputy that 12 schools in County Louth will lose posts from September 1996. Eleven of these schools will lose one post each, and one school is due to lose two posts.
