A review of enrolment data for the school referred to by the Deputy will be completed this month and my Department will then be in touch with the school's management with a decision on their application for additional classroom accommodation.

Ceist:148 Mr. Davern asked the Minister for Education when she will visit the High School, Clonmel, County Tipperary to see for herself the serious overcrowding in that school. [14621/96]
I am aware of the accommodation difficulties being experienced by the High School, Clonmel, County Tipperary and I have given the proposed extension project a high priority to enable the architectural planning to be completed as quickly as possible. As the Deputy will be aware, I have recently given approval for the refurbishment/alteration works to proceed during the current summer recess.
Due to other prior engagements, it is not possible for me to visit the school at this stage.
