197 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the amount of money allocated by his Department or by any body under the aegis of his Department to the Institute of European Affairs in each of the years 1995 and 1996. [14710/96]
My Department has not allocated any funding to the Institute of European Affairs in 1995 or 1996. However, the Department is a corporate member of the Institute for which an annual membership fee of £1,000 was paid in December 1995 in respect of the period October 1995 to September 1996.
The provision of funding to the Institute by any of the bodies under the aegis of the Department is a day to day matter for these bodies themselves and the Deputy should contact these bodies directly for the information he requires.
