The electoral categories for regional fisheries boards include occupiers of rated fisheries, drift net licencees, draft net licencees, game anglers, trout anglers, coarse anglers, sea anglers, and commercial eel fishermen. Eighteen of the current elected members of regional fisheries boards are drift net fishermen.
