335 Miss Quill asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give details of the cases, if any, of environmental pollution in the area covered by the constituency of Cork East; the number of reported cases of pollution in respect of each of the years from 1991 to date; and the number of convictions for pollution in respect of each of the years from 1991 to date. Administration and enforcement of the Local Government (Water Pollution) Acts, 1977 and 1990, the Air Pollution Act, 1987 and the Waste Management Act, 1996, including monitoring of environmental pollution and the prosecution of offences, are matters for the local authorities concerned and the Environmental Protection Agency, as appropriate.
Administration of the Environmental Protection Agency Act, 1992, including monitoring and enforcement functions, is a matter for the Environmental Protection Agency.
