Rory O'Hanlon

Ceist:

348 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for the Environment whether he has completed his examination of the revised proposals on the Tydavnet sewerage scheme; when funding will be made available in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16594/96]

James Leonard

Ceist:

357 Mr. Leonard asked the Minister for the Environment when he proposes to make funding available to Monaghan County Council for the provision of a sewerage scheme for Tydavnet, Co. Monaghan. [16729/96]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 348 and 357 together.

My Department is awaiting a response from the local authority to queries arising out of the technical examination of the revised proposals which involve a reed bed treatment system. The question of funding will be considered when these issues have been resolved.
