Treacy asked the Minister for the Environment if he will sanction a project (details supplied) in County Galway; if so, the date on which this will be done; the amount of money to be allocated; if he will give the details of the project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Contract documents for the Loughrea sewerage scheme are with my Department at present. Having regard to the size and cost of the scheme, my Department is examining the feasibility of developing it on a phased basis and will shortly be communicating with Galway County Council in this regard.
