360 Mr. Power asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the concern of residents in Kilcullen, County Kildare at the lack of progress being made with the provision of a sewerage scheme; if he will provide the necessary funds in this regard; and when work is likely to commence on this scheme. Kilcullen sewerage scheme is currently at planning stage. Site investigations were completed recently and finalised contract documents for the scheme are awaited in my Department. The scheme has been included in the water and sewerage services capital works programme for 1996. The European Commission has recently approved the planning costs of the scheme for Cohesion funding as part of the River Liffey catchment plan.
