449 Miss Harney asked the Minister for Education the current position regarding an application for funding to erect fencing to enclose two primary schools (details supplied) in Dublin 6W and their adjacent playing fields; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [16883/96]
The schools referred to by the Deputy have applied to my Department for grant-aid towards the cost of a security fence.
My Department requested the Office of Public Works to furnish a report on the matter and it is understood this report will be available shortly.
On receipt of this report a decision will be taken on the application in the light of other priority projects and available financial resources.
