Ceist:520 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Justice if she will have arrangements made to expedite an application to the Land Registry for the registration of a person (details supplied) in County Sligo. [16863/96]
Written Answers. - Registration of Title.
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this registration refers to an application under section 49, i.e. acquisition of title by virtue of long possession, of the Registration of Title Act, 1964, which was lodged on 1 March 1996. I understand that due to their complicated nature, applications under section 49 take some time to process and it is not possible to estimate a completion time at this stage. However, I can confirm that the matter is being expedited by the Land Registry.
