The matter raised by the Deputy relates to the day-to-day responsibilities of IDA Ireland and is not one in which I have a direct function. In any event, contacts between IDA Ireland and the promoters of potential projects are conducted on a confidential basis and, as such, it would be inappropriate for me to comment on the details of any such contact. From the IDA's point of view it is essential that the confidentiality of such relationships is maintained as any breach of such confidentiality could lead to the possible loss of a project, either through the project not going ahead or going to a competitor country.
