93 Mr. Callely asked the Taoiseach if he will give details of the programme of meetings and dinner functions he intends to host in Ireland for the EU Council of Ministers in the context of Ireland's Presidency of the EU; the venues for such functions; the numbers attending; the basis on which the venue was chosen; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I will not be hosting any meetings for the EU Council of Ministers in the context of Ireland's Presidency of the EU. I will however, be hosting two meetings of the European Council in Dublin Castle on 5 October 1996 and 13/14 December 1996 respectively. These meetings will be attended by the Heads of State and Foreign Ministers of the member states of the European Union. The Heads of State and Foreign Ministers of the applicant countries from central and eastern Europe, Cyprus and Malta will be invited to meet the European Council in December. I anticipate that there will be a working dinner at both European Councils.
