Vol. 469 No. 5

Written Answers. - Donegal School Extension.

Cecilia Keaveney

Ceist:

166 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Education the current position regarding an extension to a school (details supplied) in County Donegal. [17871/96]

The accommodation at the school referred to by the Deputy consists of two permanent classrooms. The school has requested that each of the classrooms be extended. The Department's planning section had advised that the school's accommodation requirements will be two classrooms plus appropriate ancillary accommodation. My Department's technical advisers have been asked to provide a report outlining costs for the extension sought. When this is received and considered, my Department will be in contact with the school authorities.

Ceist:

167 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Education the current postion regarding an extension to a school (details supplied) in County Donegal. [17872/96]

The matter of the provision of extra accommodation at the school referred to by the Deputy is currently being examined within the planning section of my Department. When this examination has been completed, I will be in a better position to assess the accommodation requirements of the school and determine the necessary steps to overcome accommodation difficulties.
