Ceist:

63 Dr. Moffatt asked the Minister for Education if a student who started university in Ireland in 1995 and who subsequently transferred to a course in a university in Britain, will be eligible for maintenance grants in Britain under the amendments introduced into the higher education grant scheme in 1996; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach):

It would appear on the basis of the limited information available that the student will be ineligible.

However, if the Deputy provides full details about the student I will arrange to have the case examined further.
