The information requested by the Deputy is not available in my Department.
Third level grant applications are processed by local authorities and vocational education committees. Grant payments are made by local authorities, vocational education committees and regional technical colleges. Delays in payment are a matter for these bodies to address.
To facilitate the early processing of grants my Department has in recent years issued the specimen student support schemes by end of April or early May.
