Vol. 470 No. 1

Written Answers. - Charles Street (Dublin) Health Centre.

Tony Gregory

Ceist:

148 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health if he will give details of the future plans, if any, the Eastern Health Board has for the usage of the health centre, Charles Street West, Dublin 7. [18248/96]

Limerick East): As part of the development, in co-operation with the housing authorities, of a comprehensive health and welfare service for homeless persons the Eastern Health Board plans to upgrade its premises in Charles Street. Proposals have been prepared to upgrade the present unsatisfactory exterior of the building; renovate the premises currently utilised by the homeless persons unit and develop the remainder of the building to provide accommodation for medical, nursing, social work, chiropody and dietetic services. The question of funding for this project will be considered in the context of the board's health centre priority list and available capital finances.
