Brennan asked the Minister for the Environment when he will reply to four requests from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council for the prescribing of roads in and around Ballyogan Estate to ensure that the authorities have the power to enforce regulations regarding the parking of unauthorised caravans; and if he will make a statement on the matter. One inquiry, dated 8 May 1996, about the making of regulations to extend the provisions of section 69 of the Roads Act, 1993 to non-national roads was received in my Department from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. My Department responded to the local authority on 10 May 1996 indicating that such regulations were not proposed at that time. There has been no further correspondence, nor any relevant requests, from the council about the matter.
