199 Mr. N. Treacy asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a grant has not been paid to a group (details supplied) in County Galway; the date on which this grant will be paid; the amount of grant to be paid; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18538/96]

Having regard to the existing high level of commitments under the group water schemes programme, it has not been possible to approve this scheme up to now. The application will, however, be considered for grant approval in the context of the finances available in 1997.
