Written Answers. - Fort Mitchel (Cork) Prison.
I have no proposals at this time to provide additional prison places at Fort Mitchel Prison. However, the Deputy will be aware that the Government approved in January and July 1996 my proposals for the provisions of over 800 additional places in the overall prison system. Work is progressing satisfactorily on all projects under the accelerated programme for the provision of additional prison places.
