178 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Education the progress, if any, which has been made in respect of the provision of a site for Coláiste na Coirbre in Galway city; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [19933/96]
It is only when a school has been granted permanent recognition that the provision of a permanent site can be considered. While a formal application for permanent recognition for Coláiste na Coiribe has not been received, its status is being examined in my Department at present.
As soon as this examination has been completed, City of Galway Vocational Education Committee, under whose aegis the school operates, will be advised of the position.
