Éamon Ó Cuív

Ceist:

163 Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Health when the review of the Government Pilot Programme for the Employment of People with Disabilities will be completed by the InterDepartmental Monetary Committee in view of the fact that he stated in a reply to a parliamentary question on 15 May 1996, that it would be completed later in 1996. Éamon Ó Cuív

Ceist:

164 Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Health whether he intends to provide funding to support phase two of the ten year development plan by a company (details supplied) for employment of people with disabilities; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21839/96]

Limerick East): I propose to take Questions Nos. 163 and 164 together.

The pilot programme for the employment of people with disabilities is overseen by an interdepartmental monitoring committee of the programme. This committee appointed consultants in August 1996 to carry out an evaluation of the pilot programme. The evaluation report will be completed by the end of November at which stage I will consider its fundings and make recommendations to Government regarding the future of the programme.
