134 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for Health the type of preventative measures being implemented in County Donegal for cervical and breast cancer; the number of women screened in County Donegal in each of the years from 1992 to date in 1996; the incidence of breast and cervical cancer in County Donegal in each of the years from 1992 to date in 1996; and the comparable national average for this period. Limerick East): I am having this information compiled, to the extent that it is available and it will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as possible.

I propose to circulate details of the national cancer strategy to all Members of the Oireachtas shortly.

135 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for Health if he intends to introduce a national screening programme for cervical cancer; and the proposals, if any, he has for the prevention of such cancer. [22513/96]

Limerick East): Arrangements are being made to prepare for the establishment of a national cervical screening programme for women in the 25-60 age group.

I propose to circulate the full details of the national cancer strategy to all Oireachtas Members shortly.
