I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Browne (Wexford)— the urgent need for extra classroom accommodation for St. Margaret's national school, Curracloe, County Wexford; (2) Deputy Ring — the need for the Minister for Health to intervene to prevent the reduction in the hours worked by home help staff in County Mayo for budgetary reasons rather than medical ones as this service is vital to the elderly; (3) Deputy Seán Ryan — the future of the vegetable industry in view of the current levels of importation; (4) Deputies Kirk and Dermot Ahern — the serious disruption to hospital services in Louth County Hospital and the measures being taken to have the matter resolved; (5) Deputy Deasy — the need to provide sanction for school transport for children with special needs from County Waterford to enable them to avail of the special facilities at the Presentation Primary School, Clonmel, County Tipperary; (6) Deputy Davern — the urgent need for works planned for the High School, Clonmel, County Tipperary to be advanced from stage 4 to stage 5; (7) Deputy Flaherty — the need for a physical education facility or school gymnasium in St. Michael's Secondary School, Finglas, Dublin 11; (8) Deputy Geoghegan-Quinn — the incident at the Mater Hospital, Dublin, and the failure to act on a report in relation to the testing of doctors for infectious diseases; (9) Deputy McDaid — the implications of the decision by the Medical Council to hold a public inquiry on child sexual abuse and the devastating effect the decision may have on the children involved.
