Vol. 472 No. 6

Written Answers. - Local Authority Housing.

Chris Flood

Ceist:

98 Mr. Flood asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received an application from Dublin Corporation for funding towards the provision of a heating system for persons (details supplied) in Dublin 12; if so, if he will immediately approve such funding; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23743/96]

The administration of the disabled person grants scheme is the responsibility of the relevant local authority, in this instance Dublin Corporation. It is understood that an application under the scheme from the persons concerned is under consideration by the corporation. My Department would not be involved unless and until a claim is made by the corporation for recoupment of a proportion of the expenditure incurred by it.
