Vol. 472 No. 6

Written Answers. - Substandard School Buildings.

Dermot Ahern

Ceist:

120 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the fact that Sheelagh national school, Dundalk, County Louth, is one of the schools contained in a report by the INTO regarding sub-standards conditions of facilities; if so, the way in which she intends to redress the situation; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [23703/96]

My attention has been drawn to the fact that Sheelagh national school is one of the schools contained in the INTO report. My Department's technical advisers have visited this school, carried out an inspection of the works required and have prepared a costing for same. This school will be considered for inclusion in the next capital programme.
