Ceist:277 Mr. M. Ahern asked the Minister for Justice the plans, if any, she has to make funds available for the provision of a new Garda station in Cobh, County Cork; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [24597/96]

It is proposed to build a new district headquarters at Cobh. The Office of Public Works is currently looking for a suitable site in the area. It is not possible to indicate when work might commence on this project until a suitable site is acquired.
