Ceist:14 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education the moneys, if any, being provided in the current year for the provision of a new vocational school in Dungarvan, County Waterford; and if so, when work will commence. [1328/97]
Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.
At a meeting between the Department and the county Waterford vocational education committee which took place on 19 December 1996, the vocational education committee and its design team were asked to submit a developed sketch scheme in respect of the new school at Dungarvan.
When this has been received, the format of the project can be finalised and the vocational education committee will be authorised to proceed with the remaining stages of architectural design. Building work cannot begin until architectural planning has been satisfactorily completed.
